What to expect at your appointment

As a patient of AIPM, there are a few things you should know and expect.

As a new patient, we will send a packet of information with forms to be completed prior to your first appointment. Do not mail these forms. You will need to bring them with you to your first visit. Please bring your all insurance cards to each visit. At each visit, please be prepared to pay any co-pays required by your insurance.

As a clinic that manages pain through care plans and office visits, we do not prescribe narcotics after hours or on the weekends. You will need to bring any unfilled prescriptions and pain medications with you to your office visits. Wedo not replace lost or stolen prescriptions or medications. You will need to schedule subsequent visit far enough in advance that you will not run out of your medication. When you come to your appointments, you should be prepared to discuss the efficacy of your treatments, including but not limited to:

  • How much did the treatment decrease your level of pain?

  • How long did it last?

  • What activities increase/decrease your pain?

  • Have there been any side effects?
